Eight nights on the island, built around watching a friend race the Cozumel Ironman. Almost nothing else was planned — one boat tour arranged over email two days ahead was the only thing on the calendar, and the rest of the trip stayed unplanned the whole way through. I did have to work for most of the trip, so most of the exploring was relegated to nights and weekends.
